When I was a teenager, my Daddy would plant flowers for me. He knew that I loved tulips, marigolds, coxcomb, and zinnias. He would do this religiously every year. He never forgot.
My sweet husband recently stopped at a local roadside stand to purchase potatoes and corn for us. He knows how much I love flowers and so he also picked up a bunch of flowers for me. Guess what kind?
The bunch of flowers contained several brightly colored zinnias. I cried when he brought them in and, poor thing, he thought that something had gone wrong or that he had done something to upset me. It took me quite sometime to be able to tell him. (He is such a sweetheart and I am so blessed to have him as my partner!)
There haven't been any zinnias at Happy Hollow for quite some time, but, you know what? There will be zinnias! - again
