A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a Sally Hansen Insta Gel Strip Starter Kit at Rite-Aid. While it normally sells for $29.98, you may remember that I purchased it along with a set of additional Gel Strips for less than $3.00.
We recently decided to give it a try. Here is a picture of what's included in the Starter Kit.
The box indicates that it only takes (2) steps, but, I consider it to be a few more than that. Basically, here is what you have to do:
1. Clean nails including filing and buffing
2. Apply gel coverings - this is a bit of a feat!
3. Apply Top Coat - one nail at a time
4. Each Nail has to 'cure' under the light for 30 seconds
5. File tips as needed
The finished product looked decent; however, they didn't last but a couple of hours! (The box indicates that they will last up to two weeks.) We were very careful to follow the instructions and to take our time. I'm not sure what happened!
I would never purchase this at full price and would never purchase the strip sets at full price either. I think that if you want painted nails.......just paint your nails.
By the way, I do like Sally Hansen products!
