I'm often asked where do I find coupons. Actually, coupons are everywhere. You just have to develop a hawk's eye!
The obvious place to get the bulk of your Manufacturer's Coupons are from the Sunday newspaper. Yes, newspaper subscriptions aren't cheap, but, I truly feel that you can recover your costs rarely quickly. Sometimes, if you can find a newspaper subscriber special like I did last year, you can get a little something out of it. It might be a gift card or a special 1st year rate.
My next suggestion, is to sign up for store loyalty cards. Make sure, though, that you keep you information up to date. Stores can't send you coupons if they have the wrong mailing address. Also, stores have online sites and if you sign up, you will often receive great coupons and specials via email.
Stores, such as Target and Kroger, will also mail coupons books out to you. Sometimes, these are Manufacturer's Coupons and sometimes, they are Store Coupons. If they are Store Coupons, you can 'stack' a Manufacturer's Coupon with them.(Example: Target issues a Store Coupon for $1.50 off of Tide and you also have a Manufacturer's Coupon for $1.00 off of Tide. You can get one Tide and use both coupons which gives you $2.50 off.)
Additional places that you can find coupons are from product packaging, tearpads found in stores, and on winetags. (Winetags hang around the necks of wine bottles - and no - you do not have to buy the wine.)
Companies will also send coupons out to you by request. Yes, take a few moments once a month to randomly pick companies who make products that you use. Visit their websites and send an email to their customer service. With a few good words about their product and a simple request for any available coupons, you will soon receive coupons in your mailbox. Alot of these companies also have coupons and specials that they will send out to you via email if you sign up.
Last, but not least, ask friends, neighbors, and co-workers. You would be amazed at how willingly folks will share their coupons with you if you only ask.
I know that there are coupon 'clipping services' out there, but, I do not use them. I have never had a problem having all that I needed nor having multiples of coupons. I just simply ask! It's part of the hunt for me.
